51 year-old female; 5’3” tall, weighing 178 lbs. Immediately following her bilateral mastectomy, Dr. Armijo performed the first stage of breast reconstruction with the placement of tissue expanders. Once the patient was expanded to her desired size, Dr. Armijo performed a bilateral DIEP flap procedure, using the skin and fat from her tummy to reconstruct her breasts. The patient opted not to have nipple reconstruction.
