Description

Immediately following the patient’s nipple sparing mastectomy by her breast surgeon, Dr. Armijo performed the first stage of reconstruction with the placement of tissue expanders. Once the patient was expanded to her desired size, Dr. Armijo removed the tissue expanders and performed bilateral DIEP flap breast reconstruction, using the skin and fat from her tummy to reconstruct her breast mounds.
