Cynda Brown
PRACTICE MANAGER
Cynda received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Woman’s University. She came to us after working with the Pediatric Plastic Surgery Institute’s Craniofacial Clinic at Medical City Dallas and has been Dr. Armijo’s Practice Manager since 2013. Cynda handles the business side of the practice, working diligently to ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently, while adhering to Dr. Armijo’s elevated standard of patient care.
Her loving and compassionate nature motivates her to be a strong advocate for our patients. As such, she meets with all new and existing patients in preparation for their surgery and makes herself readily available to them, from their first consultation to their last follow up visit. Cynda is a proud mother of two thriving young adults. On the weekends she enjoys hiking and kayaking all over Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma, as well as spending quality time in her backyard nurturing her beautiful hummingbird garden.
ELAYA MCNABB-DUNCAN
PATIENT COORDINATOR
Elaya has been in the wellness industry for over six years. As a woman of faith with family members who have won and lost the fight against breast cancer, she found a deeper calling for patient care, which ultimately led her to accept an entry level position at the highly regarded Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute in 2022. We were so impressed with how quickly Elaya excelled in her new role, that we asked her to join our team as Patient Coordinator in 2024.
Elaya is oftentimes the first point of contact with our office as the friendly voice on the other side of the phone, acting as a liaison between our patients and staff to ensure our patients are taken care of in a timely manner. Elaya makes it her mission to go above and beyond for our patients, bringing joy and laughter to all those around her. Outside of work, Elaya enjoys singing in her church choir, having brunch with friends after church, and spending quality time with her husband.
LAUREN PETERSON
CERTIFIED SURGICAL FIRST ASSISTANT
Lauren began her journey in the healthcare industry after successfully completing the CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) program at Collin College in 2013. After 11 years as a CST, she then decided to advance her career by earning her CSFA certification through Meridian Institute of Surgical Assisting in 2024. Lauren has experience in other specialties, but plastic and reconstructive surgery won her heart and became her home when she joined Dr. Armijo’s team as his CSFA in February 2026. Her role in surgery is to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible for Dr. Armijo and our patients. While she is relatively new to our practice, Lauren has quickly become an integral part of our medical team. On a personal level, Lauren and her husband of 16 years have built a beautiful life with their son, daughter and 3 fur babies. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys laughing and being outdoors with her friends and family, as well as cheering on her kids in their various sports team activities. Lauren is also deeply committed to giving back to her community and shows her support by actively participating in local 5K fundraising events.
HARLEY MILLER

As Medical Assistant, Harley supports all aspects of our patients’ medical needs outside of the operating room, ensuring that each visit is seamless, personalized, and handled with the highest level of professionalism. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment while delivering attentive, detail-oriented care that helps patients feel confident and at ease throughout their experience. Having watched her mom go through breast cancer from diagnosis to graduation, drives her to be a reliable part of the medical care team for our patients. Outside of the practice, she enjoys shopping, exploring new brunch spots with friends, staying active through fitness, and cherishing time with her two beloved dogs, Leo and Buster.
